Prof. Dr. Lisandra Flach is the Director of the Center for International Economics at the ifo Insti-tute in Munich and the CESifo Professor of Economics of Globalisation at Ludwig Max-imilians University of Munich. Her research focuses on international economic policy and empirical international trade economics. She is a member of renowned research networks such as CEPR and CESifo and serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Comparative Economics and the Review of International Economics. She has played a leading role in several policy advisory projects at the ifo Institute, including projects commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the European Commission, and the OECD. In 2021, she was honoured by Handelsblatt as one of the 100 Women Shaping Germany, by Wirtschaftswoche as one of the 10 Most Exciting Up-and-Coming Economists in Germany and by Capital as one of the top 40 Under 40 and Top 10 Up-and-Coming Economists.She earned her PhD from the University of Mannheim and has conducted research at institutions such as Harvard University, Columbia University, and the University of California, San Diego.
